Daikanyama is uptown neighborhood where is developed after the Great Kanto earthquake in 1923 and there are many embassies and luxurious houses now. Currently, there are also many boutiques and classy restaurants in this area, and it is getting known as a sophisticate place for Japanese.

It is with a great selection of magazines, books, DVD, CD, records, stationery and more. I think it has the largest selection in Jazz and classic CDs in the world. I used to spend all day for looking around this shop. It is better be happy even though I always appreciate convenience of Amazon service.

When you're tired, let's enjoy Starbucks. On the table, it has already prepared the recommended books and magazines and you can read them. Besides, you can bring a new book to read while enjoying a coffee. With ample seating area on the 2F, you're also able to listen CDs which is for rental. 

Bar & Books

If you'd like to drink alcohol, there is the bar "Anjin" on the 2F of the building 2. It is also able to read books while enjoying a single malt or cocktail.  When all is said and done, the closing time of the book shop and Starbucks is 2:00 am.
